Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information TL Mabuhay collects when you browse this site, enroll in a course or use the student portal — why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

In effect since August 3, 2026

1. Who we are

TL Mabuhay is an LTO-accredited driver training provider operating the branches listed on this site. For the purposes of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) we are the personal information controller for the data described below.

Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at the address at the end of this page.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to train you, to issue a valid certificate, and to meet our obligations to the LTO.

  • Enrollment details — your name, email address, mobile number, chosen branch, course and training date.
  • Identity and eligibility documents — the IDs, permits and other documents you upload or present, where a course requires them.
  • Payment records — the amount, date, channel and reference number of each payment. We do not receive or store your card or e-wallet credentials; those are handled entirely by our payment provider.
  • Training records — attendance, session outcomes, certificates issued, and any credit held in your training fund.
  • Site usage — pages visited and basic device information, collected through analytics if it is enabled.

3. Why we collect it

Each of these has a lawful basis under the Data Privacy Act:

  • To deliver the training you booked and paid for — performance of our contract with you.
  • To submit the records the LTO requires of an accredited training provider — compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To contact you about your booking: confirmations, reminders, schedule changes.
  • To keep accounting and tax records for the periods the law requires.
  • To improve this website and our course offerings — our legitimate interest, using aggregated data.

We send marketing messages only to people who asked for them, and every one of those carries a way to stop receiving them.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We disclose it only to:

  • The Land Transportation Office and other government agencies, where an accredited provider is required to report training and certification.
  • Our payment provider, to process and reconcile your payment.
  • Service providers who send our email and SMS notifications, and who host this site — bound to handle your data only on our instructions.
  • Our professional advisers, or a court or regulator, where we are legally required to disclose.

5. How long we keep it

Training and certification records are kept for as long as LTO accreditation rules and Philippine tax law require. Enrollment enquiries that never became bookings are kept only as long as they are useful to follow up, and are then deleted or anonymised.

If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so except where we are legally required to keep a record — and we will tell you which part we had to keep, and why.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:

  • Be told what personal data we hold about you, and ask for a copy of it.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Object to processing, and to withdraw consent where consent is what we relied on.
  • Have your data erased or blocked, subject to the retention rules above.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Be notified if a breach puts your data at serious risk, and to claim damages for a violation of your rights.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first — that check protects you.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping you signed in, and remembering the booking you were part-way through. If analytics is enabled, it also sets cookies that tell us which pages are used, in aggregate.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones will stop the enrollment flow and the student portal from working.

8. How we protect it

Access to student records is restricted to staff whose role requires it, and every account is individually identified. Data travels over encrypted connections, and payment credentials never reach our systems at all.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at serious risk, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do with data changes. The date it took effect is shown at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing students will be notified by email.

Contact us

Write to us first — we are required to respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your concern, you may escalate it to the National Privacy Commission.
